The Opportunity

Findex is looking for an Accounting Officer/Bookkeeper to join our SMSF team in Toowoomba on a part-time basis (approximately 25–30 hours per week, with flexibility on how those hours are worked). In this role you'll support the accurate processing of superannuation fund transactions and everyday administrative tasks for a varied client base, working alongside a supportive local, offshore and virtual team. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured, detail-focused work and wants to build a career in accounting within a well-established, community-connected firm.


Your role, your contribution!

  • Process client superannuation fund transactions accurately and within required lodgement deadlines
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, activity statements and annual reconciliations under guidance from senior team members
  • Maintain and organise documentation, work papers and client files in line with compliance requirements
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the team, including data entry, correspondence and file management
  • Assist with client communications, responding to routine queries and escalating where needed

What you will bring to the role

  • Relevant experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or relevant support role
  • Working towards or holding a relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience with CLASS Super or BGL (desirable but not essential)
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  • Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines

Skills Required
