Job Purpose:
- The Accounting Manager at Rancho Community Reformed Church will oversee the financial operations and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. This role is pivotal in supporting the church's mission by managing financial resources and providing strategic insights to aid in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, ledger maintenance, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all audit requirements are met.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to church leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions and maintain comprehensive financial records.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure the church's financial stability.
- Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with the church's overall objectives and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in a nonprofit or religious organization is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must have experience with Non-profits and Grants

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Skills Required
