Accounting Manager

Our client is an American protective packaging company with growing operations in Europe, incl. manufacturing facilities in the UK and in the Netherlands. The company is an industry leader, manufacturing a wide range of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that are supplied to customers throughout Europe.

They are currently looking for an Accounting Managers, who will be primarily responsible for overseeing the company´s whole entity (Accounting & Reporting).

This is a strategical position is based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Additionally, this is a hybrid role (2-3x per week at the office). 

Main Responsibilities:

• Overall supervision of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Cash Management.
• Assure the accuracy of bookkeeping and balance sheet account reconciliation activities.
• Prepare, analyse and control annual reports (balance sheet, P&L and cash flow) with supporting documentation and quality (incl. analysis of P&L deviations - forecast vs. actual).
• Cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
• Manage the compilation and preparation of the financial statement and first point of contact of the auditors. 
• Coordinate and control external and internal audits for the relevant legal entities.
• Support preparation and distribution of all periodic reports, schedules, worksheets and narratives.
• Assure that all periodic filings (VAT, Income tax, Subsidies a.m.) and statistical declarations (CBS, Intrastat a.m.) are done in a timely and correct manner.
• Develop and maintain internal control, policies, and procedures for the area of responsibilities and contribute to improve internal processes.

Main Requirements:

• More than 4 years of solid experience in the fields of Accounting or Audit (incl. good expertise in the overall supervision of the entity). 
• Great experience in the preparation of journal entries and financial statements in accordance with Dutch and/or US GAAP provisions.
• Fluency in English. 
• Fluency in Dutch is a plus.
