On behalf of our client, a leading company in the Beverage Manufacturing industry, we are currently recruiting an experienced Accounting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient operations of the Accounting department.
The Accounting Manager position involves overseeing the accounting team and reporting directly to the Finance Director.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including financial transactions, account reconciliations, general ledger accuracy, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax processes, and month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with Greek Accounting Standards (Greek GAAP)
- Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors and manage all related audit deliverables
- Manage, supervise, and develop the accounting team, including task allocation, review of work, coaching, training, and performance evaluation, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability
- Ensure full tax compliance, οversee internal controls and liaise effectively with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities
- Support ERP enhancements, process improvements, and accounting automation initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Production, and other departments to support business and financial objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA etc) will be considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Greek GAAP, and tax regulations
- A minimum of five (5) years of proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar senior accounting role
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, preferably within an FMCG or production environment
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Business Central will be considered a strong advantage)
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
