The Navista accounting manager is responsible for organizing and maintaining financial accounting system records, including accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, and financial statement reporting.
What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
Accounting/Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
Ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of the Company’s (Navista) consolidated financial results along with practice results. This includes periodic (monthly, quarterly and annually) reporting of financial results in accordance with GAAP and a variety of other financial reports as required by management, investors, and other stakeholders.
Plan and direct the monthly accounting close process. This includes ensuring that all general ledger accounts are adequately analyzed and reconciled, and variances resolved in a timely manner.
Ensure monthly financial results are adequately reviewed, analyzed, interpreted and findings and related implications of this process are effectively communicated to appropriate members of management.
Oversee the management of the Company’s accounting systems, including the general ledger payable and fixed asset systems and coordinate with others to ensure timely and accurate posting to the general ledger of all transactional activity maintained within the Company’s various management systems. This includes, but is not limited to, revenue/collections, payroll, purchasing/payables, and lease systems.
Manage a team capable of effectively and efficiently supporting the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, coaching, training, monitoring and providing feedback to department employees as well as evaluating employee job performance and both rewarding and taking corrective action when necessary. In addition, anticipate the impact that organizational growth will have on the requirements of the accounting department and its staff.
Lead initiatives to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting function. This includes any initiatives to develop, integrate and/or upgrade accounting and financial reporting systems, and processes.
Develop, refine, document, implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the accounting department and the Company in general.
Prepare technical accounting memos for Corporate team and/or external auditors to support the Company’s position on accounting treatment as required. Provide accounting guidance on various inquiries to ensure proper accounting treatment and consistency with corporate policies.
Manages other projects and duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
6-12 years of public and / or corporate accounting experience, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
CPA, preferred
