Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role within the finance department, overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the month-end close and financial reporting process. This individual will manage a team of accounting professionals, implement process improvements, and partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and corporate finance to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Partner with operations and cost accounting teams to support inventory management, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and professional growth.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
