How you'll make an impact:

Review and assess the current status of accounting books, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with BR GAAP and US GAAP.

Conduct reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.

Manage and complete financial activities including tax filings, month-end close, and forecasting.

Coordinate and organize the preparation, review and submission of the direct and indirect tax return filings, track and oversight the tax liabilities and tax payments.

Tax key-user in the global ERP (JDE), monitoring and updating tax codes in the ERP system to ensure the proper tax calculation over the invoice process.

Support and monitor tax aspects over the inbound and outbound invoice processes with company’s third-party service provider, which will provide various shared services functions to region.

Advise on direct and indirect tax matters as needed, particularly ICMS, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ and CSLL.

Support quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision reporting for Brazil entity, including directing and reviewing local tax packages

Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, fixed asset audits, and physical inventory requirements.

Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements.

Develop project plans and lead global finance activities, ensuring successful completion within scope and timelines.

Provide guidance and leadership to smaller project teams executing tactical initiatives.

Collaborate with finance and cross-functional stakeholders to develop financial dashboards, global reporting, and analysis (e.g., plan metrics, cost of quality, financial tracking).

Analyze financial and trend reports, synthesize insights, and present findings and recommendations to management.

Analyze ROI of expenditures for strategic projects and initiatives.

Liaise with U.S. corporate finance teams to ensure alignment on reporting and compliance.

What you'll need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CRC registration required)

• Very solid experience in a similar role, preferable in multinational or healthcare sectors and with management experience included

• Deep understanding of GAAP (local and international), SOX compliance, and financial systems

• Ability to understand and communicate complex tax matters to internal and external stakeholders

• Extensive experience in working within tax rules, regulations and tax authorities, with specific focus on Brazil

Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners and collaborate with business unit stakeholders.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.

Expertise in MS Office Suite, especially advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE) and database tools (e.g., QlikView) preferred.

Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with ability to influence and negotiate internally.

Ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels and escalate issues appropriately.

Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

Experience representing finance leadership in cross-functional projects and consulting within specific financial areas.
