Sika was first established in Malaysia in 1989 and full operations commenced in 1991 through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd, with the completion of its local head office and production plant in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. In the Construction sector, our business activities cover the full spectrum of project types ranging from infrastructural development to buildings, from institutional facilities to manufacturing plants. We service our direct customers – concrete producers, contractors and distributors – and stay close to them through our central sales & marketing office in Bangsar South and a network of sales offices in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. In 2014 our presence in the Malaysian construction continued to grow when our Ipoh Plant was built and running to meet customer demands.
In Malaysia, our Industry Division is the clear market leader in the automotive glass replacement sector (AGR) and the “Sikaflex” brand is instantly recognized as a mark for quality, reliability and performance. In the automotive OEM sector, we are the approved supplier to top German car markets such as Mercedes Benz and BMW. Meanwhile, Sika leads the field in total bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection solutions for bus, truck and rail vehicle manufacturing, and for the assembly of appliances, industrial equipment and building components.
Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 400 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.
Job DescriptionTo assist Finance and Accounting Manager in all aspects of accounting and reporting, to be responsible for Account Payables as main function.
- Lead the Accounts Payable (AP) team, overseeing the posting, verification, and processing of AP transactions to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Organize and coordinate the annual stock count, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely and complete financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
- Manage year-end audits, including coordination with external auditors and timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Conduct operating expense (OPEX) analysis and provide insights to respective departments upon request.
- Arranging SICS documentation coordinating with relevant department
- Degree or professional qualification Accounting/Finance.
- Working knowledge in ERP system
- Above 8 years work experience, minimum, 2 years managerial role experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft application especially with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good leadership skills
- Good inter-personal and management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and a commitment to deliver quality outcomes
