The Senior Accounting Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of 8x8. This individual will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the Controller in various financial activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance. 

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software, NetSuite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver month-end close activities including review of journal entries, detailed variance analysis, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation while ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.

  • Complete accounting including but not limited to investments, consolidations, accruals, commissions, cost of goods sold, fixed assets and project accounting as required. 

  • Streamline, automate, maintain & improve processes, systems and internal controls.

  • Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation and recording of financial transactions.

  • Assist in providing insights and recommendations.

  • Support the Controller in preparing financial reports, audits

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

  • Mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.

  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes. 

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and identify trends.

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$136,875.00 - $228,125.00
