Phreesia is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing team! 
Phreesia is a publicly traded healthcare technology company that is the leading provider of automated patient intake solutions. As Accounting Manager, you’ll support the finance and accounting operations and meet the demands of its growing business. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you’ll bring your strong knowledge and experience working with US GAAP, SEC rules and Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements. This is an individual contributor role that allows opportunity for growth and development.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage daily and month-end general accounting functions for assigned areas
  • Book and review monthly journal entries and reconciliations
  • Complete quarterly technical accounting memos and tie-outs for quarterly and year-end SEC reporting 
  • Perform financial statement analysis, documenting explanations for fluctuations 
  • Assist with development and implementation of monthly and non-monthly reporting financial results and other KPIs
  • Work with internal and outside auditors during quarterly reviews, year-end audits and control walk throughs as well as assist with tax analysis preparation 
  • Improve business processes through automation, analysis and researching best practices 

What You'll Bring:

  • CPA required, bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
  • 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm (“Big 4”) or the equivalent of public company experience 
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules and requirements and working experience and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements 
  • Experience leveraging systems for accounting efficiencies and reporting – Workday experience preferred and Advanced Excel skills
  • Analytical skills with great attention to details and strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to recognize potential issues and problems, knowing when to escalate and propose solutions, where possible
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work independently and collaboratively: Organized, disciplined, process-oriented 
  • Ability to adhere and meet internal and external deadlines and prioritize workload in a dynamic and fast paced environment 

Base pay for U.S. is $100,000 - $120,000, depending on qualifications. Must reside in an Eastern or Central time zone.
