What do we need
Dotmatics is looking for Manager, Accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end close processes, and subsidiary-level accounting. You will drive the monthly and quarterly accounting close process to create accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, assist in external audits/reviews, work closely with the Accounting Teams and other teams to help refine our processes with an eye toward scalability, efficiency, and compliance with our internal control guidelines. As the Accounting Manager you will report directly to the US Corporate Controller.
In this role you will get to:
Manage the month-end close process for several of the Company’s North American subsidiaries to ensure timelines are met and accurate financial records are produced.
- Ownership of each subsidiary and the general ledger including reviewal and approval of journal entries and reviewal of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly/ quarterly fluctuation analysis over US GAAP income statement, balance sheet
- Co-coordinate close status with Sr. Manager
- Assist with development and perform vendor spending analytics
- Analyze monthly expenses to ensure accurate coding and proper accounting classification to all dimensions across transactions
Support, train, mentor, and develop Staff Accountant
- Set and monitor team tasks, priorities, and goals
- Translate functional plans into operational processes and guide team through execution
- Delegate responsibilities and review work performed
- Provide education and development
Independently partner with other functional areas
- Collaborate with Sr Accountants on close process and projects
- Collaborate with the international accounting teams to support initiatives for accurate & timely financial reporting
- Collaborate on projects that solve open-ended, ambiguous problems that are often beyond the scope of immediate team
- Effectively communicate with other functional areas and leaders on complex tasks with an understanding on prioritization and down-stream impacts of actions
Assist with development and documentation of processes and procedures
- Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are carried out in accordance with GAAP principles
- Review existing processes, structures, and systems to assist in the identification of improvement opportunities with a focus on simplification, standardization, and optimization
Support the year-end financial statement audit, and quarterly lender reporting requirements
We are looking for people with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred with a minimum 6 years of experience ideally with a combination of Big 4 Public Accounting (preferred) and SaaS industry. You will have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining strict deadlines and accuracy.
The key skill we are looking for
- Deep understanding of financial reporting and auditing practices, accounting standards and regulations, such as GAAP or IFRS
- Experience performing accounting functions for multiple subsidiaries with an understanding of Transfer Pricing and intercompany eliminations
- Ability to create standardized SOPs
- Effectively leading various projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to apply strategical plans to independently problem solve
- ERP experience- NetSuite preferred
- People leadership, including performance management, and career development of a small team
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office

The candidate's final starting pay is based on job-related skills, experience, job specific qualifications & location. In addition to base salary, Dotmatics has implemented a total rewards strategy, which is the combination of compensation, benefits and recognition.

$98,872—$116,320 USD
