The position serves as the primary point of contact for key clients, delivering proactive financial and tax advice while guiding a dedicated team of junior and intermediate accountants. Working closely with practice leadership, the incumbent reviews financial statements, streamlines workflow processes through modern technology, and manages statutory SARS and CIPC compliance requirements.

Team Leadership & Development: Manage, train, and mentor a small team of junior and intermediate accountants to maintain high operational standards.
Financial Oversight & Review: Review monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and annual financial statements to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
Client Advisory & Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients, offering proactive financial and tax advisory support.
Statutory Compliance: Ensure all client and corporate submissions to SARS and CIPC are completed accurately and timeously.
Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement tech-forward solutions to streamline bookkeeping and financial reporting processes.
RequirementsEssential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within an accounting or auditing practice.
Proven proficiency in modern accounting software (such as Caseware, Xero, Sage Accounting, or Pastel) and Microsoft Excel.
Sound knowledge of local South African taxation laws and IFRS for SMEs.
Ability to work full-time on-site in Westlake, Cape Town
Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Professional designation (e.g. SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA) is highly advantageous.
