Teledyne Relays (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC), is a manufacturer of Electromechanical Relays, Solid State Relays, Power Controllers, RF COAX Switches and RF Matrix switching systems. The primary manufacturing facilities are located in the United States. We are a vertically orientated manufacturing and design company with major operations in Southern California.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance industry team. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.

  • Maintain fixed asset register and prepare monthly depreciation journal entries

  • Participate in month/quarter/year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • File periodic tax returns (Sales and Use, Unsecured property)

  • Evaluate, document and improve internal controls and accounting processes

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial operations

  • Develop and coach small team of direct reports inclusive of employee reviews, goal setting and training.

  • Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (LOOKUP, pivot tables).

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting software.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.

Please note the salary range posted is a general guideline for this job level and location. When extending an offer, a variety of factors are considered such as responsibilities of the position, relevant education and experience, certifications, knowledge and skills.

  

Salary Range:

$96,600.00-$128,800.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
