About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our offshore accounting operations in Colombia. In this highly visible role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting functions to produce accurate monthly US GAAP financial statements for managed properties. You will serve as the primary leader for a structured team of Supervisors and staff, providing mentorship, training, and operational guidance. This position requires expertise in real estate accounting, a strong command of US GAAP, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with our U.S.-based corporate team.

Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor, coach, motivate, and train the offshore accounting team in Colombia, overseeing supervisors and staff with a strong focus on operational excellence.
• Month-End Close & Audits: Coordinate month-end close procedures and support annual audits by providing complete documentation and assisting external auditors.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure full compliance with US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Financial Oversight: Review and approve monthly adjusting and accrual journal entries, daily cash transactions, and property acquisitions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements, schedules for partners/clients, and fee schedules in accordance with management agreements.
• Specialized Accounting: Oversee lease schedules in compliance with ASC-842 requirements and record/reconcile investments in associates under GAAP and partnership agreements.
What We Are Looking For Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Experience:
• 5+ years of general accounting experience.
• Proven experience within the real estate industry, including property-level accounting.
• 3+ years of team management and leadership experience. Technical Skills:
• Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial processes, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (handling large data sets and complex calculations).
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite. Familiarity with Yardi.
