Accounting Manager
The Plant Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions including month end processes, preparing financial reports, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Accountant responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts documenting business transactions
- Prepares GL Account and Bank Reconciliation
- Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize the company's financial position.
- Maintains Accounting Policy database
- Identifies control gaps, develops and implements appropriate control procedures to resolve control deficiencies
- Assists in preparation for internal and external audits
- Develop financial analysis and cost accounting skills
- Oversees payroll and AP functions
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP
- Proven track record of working in a team environment with a variety of departments
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Three (3) years Plant Manufacturing experience
- Approximately 10% overnight travel
- May occasionally need to work evening or weekend hours
- Packaging industry experience
- AS400 experience
- Must have very strong PC skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel (advanced)
- Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
- Position requires someone who is self-motivated, analytical problem solver and has excellent communication skills

- Salary Range 85,970.00 – 128,956.00 USD Annual
