Accounting Manager
Reporting to: EVP and Controller

About the RoleCity Ventures is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Accounting Manager to support our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role plays a critical part in managing day-to-day accounting operations and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.
The Accounting Manager will help ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic business initiatives. What You’ll Do
• Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual financial statements, including supporting schedules and disclosures
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (including ASC 606 and ASC 842)
• Support the annual audit process and serve as a key liaison with external auditors
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Apply technical expertise across revenue recognition, lease accounting, cost capitalization, asset impairments, and equity/debt transactions
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and cost-efficiency efforts
• Support business development and transaction-related accounting activities
• Conduct technical accounting research and assist with ad hoc projects
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required)
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or equivalent role
• Experience in real estate or homebuilding strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with accounting systems (NewStar/Constellation preferred)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA license (active)
• MBA or advanced degree

Compensation: $115K - $130K annual salary plus discretionary bonus, commensurate with experience.
