Key role responsibilities

  • Month end reporting for several business units, including analysing and interpreting trends to provide accounting insights and advice to help optimise financial performance.
  • Project Accounting, including reviewing costs to complete, challenging assumptions around risk and opportunities, variations and revenue recognition.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on regional financial performance against KPIs, including monthly reviews of profit and loss, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Working alongside Managers and Engineers, preparing the annual strategy business plan, the annual operating and capital budgets and the monthly reforecasts and subsequently presenting to management.
  • Contributing to business planning and assisting the Finance Manager with the development of new business strategies.
  • Leading improvements and initiatives to enable efficient and effective processes, systems and procedures.
  • Proactively coaching and training team members, Engineers and Managers.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and develop a small finance team, providing guidance and support for growth.

You will be collaborative and approachable, with a focus on building strong relationships across a dynamic environment. You will demonstrate your ability to use your initiative and confidence in establishing systems and procedures, strong knowledge of general accounting functions and good leadership skills.
