About Our Hong Kong Team

Mission: To lead and elevate the Hong Kong Accounting operations by mentoring a team of accountants, driving AI and digital automation, and maintaining flawless financial compliance across client portfolios to ensure high retention and operational excellence.

Outcome 1:  Team Leadership & Productivity Optimization

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of accountants and Team Leaders, implementing scheduled 2-way feedback channels. 

• Identify and execute at least 2 key workflow optimizations to eliminate manual tasks and foster a digital-first mindset across the team. 

Outcome 2: Financial Reporting Quality & Statutory Compliance

• Oversee and review the processes of the preparation and finalisation of clients’ monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management accounts in accordance with SME-FRS.
• Overview the preparation of Hong Kong Profits Tax computations, Employer’s Returns, and other tax-related filings. Liaise with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) on behalf of clients.

Outcome 3: AI & Technology Adoption

• Champion and integrate AI-driven tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, cloud tools) into day-to-day accounting routines to improve output accuracy and reduce processing lead times.

Outcome 4: Client Portfolio & Audit Management

• Manage a portfolio of clients serving as their ultimate point of contact for resolving technical and service level matters.
• Coordinate amongst  accountants, auditors and clients to facilitate the annual statutory audit process, ensuring all audit schedules and documentation are prepared efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional Qualification: Qualified member of HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting bodies.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Previous experience working in a CPA firm, professional services, or business outsourcing firm is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HKFRS, SME-FRS, Hong Kong tax laws, and the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance.
• Project Management Skills would be a strong advantage
• Software Skill: Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Kingdee) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• AI & Tech Mindset: Forward-thinking with a demonstrated ability to leverage AI, automation, and digital tools to transform traditional accounting processes. Familiarity with AI assistants (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) and a proactive approach to exploring new tech solutions is highly desired.
• Language: Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong client-service mindset and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

The interview process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role. 

Screening Interview

A 30-minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background, evaluate mutual fit for the role, address expectations, and answer your questions.

Technical round and live case study
A 45-minute virtual session with the Hiring Manager, running through the technical experience of your background. They will discuss your last 1–2 roles to explore your background in more detail.

Behavioral/ Soft Skills round

A 30 minute chat with a member of the leadership team, where they will dive into some of your recent work situations to understand how you think and work.

Reference verification

Prior to final offer confirmation, we will conduct one professional reference check with your recent direct manager or supervisor. To keep the process moving smoothly, this step may be initiated during the final interview stages.

Requirement for background screening

Please be aware that Sleek is a regulated entity and as such is required to perform different levels of background checks on staff depending on their role. 

This may include using external vendors to verify the below:

• Your education
• Any criminal history
• Any political exposure
• Any bankruptcy or adverse credit history

We will ask for your consent before conducting these checks.  Depending on your role at Sleek, an adverse result on one of these checks may prohibit you from passing probation.
