Your mission:

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager (all genders) who will take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations and help develop our reliable, scalable finance setup. You will be the central interface between our internal teams and external accountants, ensure that invoices, payments, approvals, corporate cards, and travel expenses run smoothly, and drive the implementation of our new ERP system across accounting processes. With a hands-on mindset, you will turn clear policies and controls into practical processes that support a fast-growing organization.

Your day-to-day:

  • Own the operational accounting setup and ensure that complete, accurate, and timely documentation is available for bookkeeping and period-end closing.

  • Act as the main point of contact for our external accountants in Germany and the Netherlands, coordinate monthly and annual closing activities, resolve accounting questions, and track deliverables and deadlines.

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, from invoice intake and validation to account assignment, approval workflows, payment proposals, and payment execution.

  • Maintain efficient and audit-ready approval processes, ensure compliance with signing authorities and internal controls, and follow up proactively on missing approvals or documentation.

  • Administer corporate credit cards and related tools, including card issuance, user management, limits, receipt collection, transaction review, and reconciliation.

  • Own travel and expense management tools and processes, support employees with expense questions, review submissions, and ensure compliance with company policies and tax requirements.

  • Coordinate bank transactions, cash and balance sheet reconciliations, open-item management, and the preparation of supporting schedules for month-end closing.

  • Lead the accounting workstream for the ERP implementation, including process design, master data, migration, testing, cutover preparation, user training, and post-go-live stabilization.

Your profile:

  • Degree or vocational qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, or a comparable field.

  • Several years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, accounts payable, payment operations, and month-end closing, ideally in a growing international organization.

  • Sound knowledge of German GAAP and VAT requirements; experience coordinating accounting activities across German and Dutch entities is a strong plus.

  • Proven ability to manage external accountants and service providers, communicate clear requirements, resolve issues, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable ERP system, ideally including FI processes and an implementation or rollout.

  • Highly structured, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a pragmatic approach and the confidence to take ownership of operational topics from start to finish.

  • Fluent in English and at least basic skills in German for day-to-day collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Why us?

  • Take ownership of a key role with real impact: shape scalable accounting operations and reliable financial processes in a growing, mission-driven company.

  • High autonomy, short decision paths, and a team that values clarity, accountability, and execution.

  • Flexible working hours and an environment built on trust and responsibility.

  • Strong opportunities for professional growth—drive improvements, build structures, and develop into broader finance leadership.

  • Team events and benefits supporting wellbeing and community.

  • Be part of an ambitious team determined to shape the future of aviation.

  • Enjoy flexible working hours: we believe in ownership and trust.

  • subsidized EGYM Wellpass membership: your (mental) health is important for us

  • Boost your professional as well as personal growth executing your own ideas and independent projects.

  • Join our internal social events and retreats (e.g. cooking, game nights, sports).
