POSITION PURPOSE:
This is a temporary, non-exempt position that will be reporting to the Controller. This position is responsible for supporting KCE’s Controller and AP Manager with day-to-day financial operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while offering exposure to real-world business processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable
Support month-end close activities
Reviewing, coding and processing vendor invoices
Reconciles account ledgers by verifying and posting financial transactions
Maintain accounting schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks assigned
All other duties as required
WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a small team
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of working on a computer
- Attendance in Houston office at least two days a week
