Purpose of the role
The Accounting Expert , who is responsible for all accounting and finance operations for ZOLL Poland, who must ensure the timely preparation of month-end, quarter-end and annual reporting according to US GAAP and comply with local statutory and legal requirements.

Reporting to: EMEA Finance Director
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and all supporting detailed documentation for our Poland subsidiary.
- Ensure full compliance with all U.S. GAAP and local accounting rules and all Sarbanes Oxley and ISO requirements in all transactions.
- Ownership of Polish ledgers
- Process supplier invoices and execute weekly payment runs.
- Month end closing of books, including entering journals onto ledgers.
- Continuous process improvement to support growth of the business.
- Statutory reporting expertise notably VAT, Corporation Tax
- Reconcile cash accounts to bank statements on a daily/monthly basis
- Perform cash management-Process and reconcile the monthly payroll
- Manage cash flow and perform overall credit management. Ensure proper valuation of account receivables, including reserves
- Ensure AP ledgers are reconciled monthly, and suppliers are paid to terms.
- Perform monthly intercompany accounting, communication and balancing with Corporate and other subsidiaries.
- Ensure proper functioning of internal control processes and system in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Fulfill local tax requirements: VAT, PAYE, Social Security, Property Taxes-Employee expense reimbursement utilizing ERP tools.
- External authorities reporting, compliance and periodic inspection.
- Provide business analysis to support decision making by leadership teams.
Skill requirements
- Qualified Accountant with strong commercial edge and minimum 4+ years experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP and experience within a multi-national company
- Very strong persuasion and influencing skills
- Oral and written communication skills English and Polish
- Confident with auditing and all aspects of commercial bookkeeping
- Commercial business analysis and multi-Currency Experience
- Change management
