Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes  - General accounting including payables, receivables, fixed assets all expenses and cost accruals.
  • Responsible for handling all intercompany transactions,
  • Responsible for monthly / year-end financial closing and reporting quarterly and year-end to the CBRT,
  • Quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit,
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements,
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness,
  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions,
  • Working with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end,
  • Checking purchase invoice, collecting necessary approvals and file documents based on regulation
  • Making supplier reconciliations
  • Generating journal entries for purchase invoices and employee expenses
  • Performing A/R
  • Checking and approving journal entries for purchase invoices
  • Creating supplier payment list and checking supplier balance before payment
  • Crosschecking Sales invoice which has transferred from payment system to accounting system
  • Preparing non automated invoice list, manually issuing invoices and sending out in timely manner
  • Checking and approving journal entries for purchase and merchant invoices
  • Maintaining & following up on all company insurances
  • Preparing and applying for reimbursement
  • Performing e-invoices and e-archive controls
  • Creating invoice list and sending to revenue administration (GIB)
  • Initializing Logo project distribution keys and performing controls
  • Maintaining fix asset and deprecation list

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree
  • 6-8 years of professional experience in Accounting / Finance
  • Knowledge of Logo Tiger program is a must
  • Experience in SAP (especially in FI Module)
  • Having SMMM licence
  • Experienced in technocity accounting processes
  • Proficiency in tax regulations, local Accounting standards, and TFRS
  • Solid accounting and tax knowledge of Turkish Local GAAP
  • Proven ability of managing multiple workstreams, capacity of working independently and accurate to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, clear thinker and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in English is a plus
