Under broad supervision, you will reconcile and adjust general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. You may also perform moderately complex analyses of performance results. In addition, you will compile, consolidate, and analyze accounting and finance information for financial statements and reports and perform other special projects as assigned.
How you will contribute
You will:
  • Support accounting and external reporting activities including accurate and timely U.S. GAAP reporting and timeliness and integrity of statutory financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, fixed assets, restructuring and intercompany charges. As required, you will support activities performed by Mondelēz International Business Services/third-party service providers during month/quarter /year-end close, statistical reporting and statutory audit
  • Contribute to strong controls and compliance environment and comply with Mondelēz International's AER policies. Support audit activities and provide information on auditors' request
  • Perform moderately complex analysis of performance results as requested

  • Contribute to a high-performing Accounting and External Reporting (AER) team. Invest in personal development and contribute to the overall development of peers and the AER team

What you will bring

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting including understanding U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems (SAP experience preferred). Knowledge in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting
  • BUSINESS ACUMEN and experience working in FMCG/CPG Industry or Big Four accounting preferred
  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering and communication skills. Experience working as a finance leader managing cross-functional and business partner teams to drive timely and accurate results
  • GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and financial system knowledge
  • INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values, policies and external regulations

Nuestro coordinador(a) de Accounting será una pieza clave en nuestro equipo de Finanzas, responsable de asegurar la precisión y el cumplimiento de los estándares contables para la región de Centroamérica y el Caribe. Este rol va más allá del registro, buscando retar al negocio, identificar riesgos financieros y proponer mejoras continuas para optimizar nuestros procesos y guiar las cifras del negocio con integridad y estrategia.
Principales Responsabilidades:
Gestión Contable y Financiera:
Ejecutar y supervisar la emisión de estados financieros y reportes para la región de Caricam, asegurando el cumplimiento de políticas internas y regulaciones locales.
Realizar registros contables complejos y participar activamente en tareas operativas de contabilidad cuando sea necesario.
Asegurar la aplicación correcta de los principios contables US GAAP e IFRS, siendo un referente para ambos estándares.
Coordinar y gestionar eficientemente los procesos de auditoría externa e interna, trabajando de cerca con auditores de firmas como Price (PwC) y EY, garantizando la entrega de información oportuna y precisa.
Apoyar en la comprensión y aplicación de principios tributarios genéricos relevantes para la región.
Análisis y Mejora Continua:
Identificar proactivamente riesgos financieros y oportunidades de mejora, retando al negocio con propuestas que impacten positivamente las cifras y la toma de decisiones estratégicas.
Liderar y participar en iniciativas de mejora continua, incluyendo el mapeo de procesos, la identificación de eficiencias y la implementación de automatizaciones.
Facilitar la transición y optimización de procesos contables hacia centros de servicios compartidos (ej. Genpact), monitoreando sus indicadores de desempeño.
Colaboración y Liderazgo de Influencia:
Colaborar estrechamente con equipos internos, auditores y stakeholders de diferentes países para asegurar una coordinación fluida y una comunicación efectiva.
Aunque sin equipo directo a cargo, ejercer un liderazgo de influencia para alinear y motivar a los diferentes equipos involucrados en los procesos contables y de auditoría.
Formación Académica:
Profesional en Contaduría Pública, Finanzas o carrera afín.
Experiencia Profesional:
Mínimo 6 años de experiencia relevante en roles de contabilidad o auditoría, preferiblemente con experiencia en entornos multi-país, especialmente en Centroamérica y el Caribe.
Experiencia deseable en la coordinación de procesos contables con centros de servicios compartidos (ej. Genpact).
Experiencia en industrias de Consumo Masivo (CPG) o Farmacéuticas es altamente valorada.
Conocimientos Técnicos:
Dominio avanzado del sistema SAP (indispensable).
Sólidos conocimientos en principios contables US GAAP e IFRS (ambos estándares son deseables).
Conocimiento y experiencia deseable con sistemas de consolidación financiera como HFM.
Familiaridad con principios generales de impuestos.
Manejo de herramientas digitales para análisis y mejora de procesos.
Idiomas:
Inglés: Nivel B1/B2 (Intermedio) para comunicación efectiva en un entorno global.
Habilidades Clave (Soft Skills):
Orientación a Resultados y Capacidad de Influencia: Habilidad para retar al negocio, proponer soluciones y guiar las cifras, con un fuerte enfoque en alcanzar objetivos.
