Accounting Associate

Forvis Mazars Financial Accounting and Outsourcing Services Division provides accounting, financial reporting and compliance services to clients in various sectors including manufacturing, distribution, retail, financial services, professional services and public sector. We provide businesses with a cost-effective full finance function, as well as ensuring compliance with all reporting and tax regulations.

We are seeking highly motivated and independent professionals to join our Accounting and Outsourcing team for Forvis Mazars in Singapore. This position(s) will be permanently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop your understanding of the business model, drivers of financial performance and accounting and tax risks for each of the clients in your portfolio.
• Ensure accurate recording of accounting transactions and analyse financial information, to prepare meaningful monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and other international GAAP.
• Coordinate with external parties including external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial and government authorities, where required.
• Establish good client relationships through positive interactions with the client’s team.
• Interim financial management/secondments to clients.
• Ad hoc and continuous improvement projects as they arise.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or part qualified ACCA/CPA Australia/ICAEW
• Well versed in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (XERO, SAP, Oracle, Sage Line 50, Surf, Account IQ, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and client servicing skills
• Meticulous and have attention to detail with good organizational skills.
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Good command of the English language
• Proficient with the use of collaboration tools, i.e., MS Teams, DocuSign etc
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
