Accounting Associate

The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Accountant to join our newly established accounting team in APAC. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day work associated with our foreign management companies located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia.

What you’ll do 

The role will encompass the following:

• Assist with the month-end close process
• Prepare and track various schedules (Accruals, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Lease & ROU, Transfer Pricing, etc.)
• Perform variance analysis
• Post monthly billing entries
• Maintain internal cash reconciliation and record cash movements
• Reconcile monthly balances to fund administrator
• Compile and distribute monthly expense detail reports
• Assist with annual audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures to support existing operations and continued growth of the firm

What you’ll bring

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
• Relevant work experience gained either in-house within financial services or in public accounting
• Strong working knowledge using Excel (e.g. pivot tables, sumifs, index match, etc.)
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of assigned projects and tasks
• Process and detail oriented with a strong work ethic and team focused attitude
• Able to adapt to frequent changes in the business operating environment
• Highly organized and self-motivated

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision
