Position Overview: 

Freedom Boat Club is the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club.

As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club team, you will be a customer-focused team member! We are seeking a tech savvy individual with bookkeeping experience to join our Accounting Team!

At Brunswick & Freedom Boat Club, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.  

Essential Functions:

• This role is responsible for performing accounting support responsibilities and will utilize QuickBooks every day.
• Members of our Accounting team are responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities (AP/AR, Billing, Fleet Registration, etc.) and are experts at solving problems in a collaborative environment.  

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.  

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum 1 year experience in general accounting using QuickBooks 

• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and multi-tasking skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed with ability to meet established deadlines 

• Must be well organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter 

• Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation 

• Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable experience a plus 

• Must have a team player attitude 

• Strong customer service orientation

Working Conditions:

• Typical working conditions include sitting at a desk for extended periods, using a computer for most tasks, working indoors with controlled temperature and lighting, moderate noise levels and often interacting with colleagues in a collaborative environment.
