Accounting Associate

The F&A team comprises multiple functions from Financials Control & Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury and Operations. Together, the team optimizes our global finance initiatives and enjoys being detailed-oriented while multitasking across various exciting project scopes

Responsibilities

• Preparation of journal entries to record daily cash transactions and customer activity
• Preparation of journal entries to record operating cash transactions, accruals, etc.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, property, and intercompany accounts
• Preparation of daily reports for Management
• Preparation of daily and monthly reports for Regulators
• Assistance with tax return preparation, financial statement audit, and supporting schedules
• Completion of ad hoc project work such as automation of daily/monthly processes to improve efficiency and output
• Support Finance team with ad hoc work with Crypto.com entities
• Assistance with various administrative tasks as needed
• Processing of deposits and withdrawals from customer accounts
• Review of cash reconciliations and processing journal entries related to cash movements and payments
• Daily reconciliations including debit card deposits and withdrawals, chargebacks, and connection errors
• Daily reconciliation of clearing brokers and exchanges
• Manage Accounts Payable including purchase order creation, invoice review/submission, payment processing
• Ensure timely processing of vendor payments to keep accounts current
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice issues or payment applications as necessary
• Maintain supplier database keeping addresses, TINs and banking details current
• Build complete repository of vendor W9 forms
• Contribute toward development of processes in Finance structure under Crypto.com
• Performance of internal control procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of books and records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 0-2 years professional work in finance, accounting and/or treasury; audit experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated, quick learner with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while efficiently managing large amounts of data
• Fierce attention to details to follow procedures meticulously and correct mistakes
• Proficient in Excel (v-lookup function and pivot tables) and Word
• Experience with crypto, FCMs (futures industry)/broker-dealers (securities industry) a plus
