IPConfigure seeks a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant/Receptionist. In this dual role, you will support the finance team while serving as our visitors and clients' first point of contact. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including processing invoices and preparing payment schedules.
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Prepare and process expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with financial reporting and administration tasks as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls and greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  • Perform other accounting or administration duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred. However, pursuing a degree in one of these fields is also accepted.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role.
