The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting background, hands-on experience in the retail sector, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Big Four firm. This role requires an English-speaking professional who can operate confidently in an international environment and translate complex data into clear financial insights.
- Coordinate the year-end and period-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Coordinate corporate income tax returns with support from external Tax Advisors
- Support the business with accounting topics and writing position papers
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing audits efficiently and resolving findings.
- Coordinate CSRD reporting, including alignment with ESRS requirements.
- Collaborate with finance, sustainability, legal, and operational teams to collect, validate, and consolidate ESG data.
- Strengthen documentation, governance, and internal controls across financial and CSRD-related processes.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting quality, and efficiency.
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or RA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a Big Four firm, ideally combined with in-house controlling experience.
- Proven experience in the retail industry.
- Strong background in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audits.
- Demonstrated experience with CSRD / ESG / sustainability reporting or a strong motivation to specialize in this area.
- Hands-on and able to work both independently and with respect to deadlines
- You’re motivated, eager to learn and have good communication skills
- You’re fluent in English – written and verbal, having basic German language skills is a plus
