Job Title: Accounting and Payroll Manager
Location: G&B / GGET Main Office, retail locations
Classification: Full-time, exempt
Reports to: Director of Strategic Operations
Compensation: $75 - $90k
About the JobThe Accounting and Payroll Manager is responsible for recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts and managing AP/AR. They will work closely with outsourced bookkeepers. They will process the company’s biweekly payroll, generate financial reports, and ensure compliance in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Essential Duties
- Maintain the company’s books
- Record daily transactions
- Resolve discrepancies between internal bookkeeping records and bank statements
- Manage accounts payable & receivable
- Track payments and process vendor bills in a timely manner
- Process Payroll and generate financial reports
- Calculate wages, manage tax withholdings, and submit payroll files
- Prepare profit and loss statements
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Perform HRIS admin work related to payroll, ensuring that new employees are onboarded to timekeeping and payroll systems
- Participate in periodic budgeting meetings
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Must have accounting or bookkeeping experience in a multi-unit retail or food service company
- Strong experience using industry-standard accounting software
- Strong math and analytical skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience creating and perpetually improving systems
- Good understanding of large-scale retail operations and the various systems supporting them
- Demonstrable ability to think critically and build solutions to problems you encounter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to provide reliable transportation to/from work and for work-related errands
- Must be proficient with Email, Google Drive, Slack and Microsoft Office

Skills Required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
