PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Accounting and Finance Analyst is responsible for various corporate finance functions, including month-end closing, reporting and analysis, support statutory and internal audits, fixed asset administration, review & reporting of Internal controls for financial reporting & other adhoc projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform monthly variance analysis vs. forecast and prior periods
- Review and improve internal controls and Accounting/Finance policies and procedures
- Reports and administers Fixed Asset/Other Asset reporting and administration, including leading fixed asset verifications.
- Completes Internal control financial reporting (ICFR) testing and reporting, including planning and project management.
- Prepares tax filings and coordinate with Ralliant corporate on state/federal tax compliance and accounting activities.
- Assists finance manager with ongoing and special projects as assigned, including implementation of new accounting standards.
- Monitor, control, and oversee accounts receivable activities to ensure timely collection of customer payments and maintain healthy cash flow.
- Review aging reports, follow up on overdue balances, resolve payment discrepancies, and support month-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to minimize outstanding receivables and reduce credit risk.
- Supervise accounts payable processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Review payment schedules, reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliance with company policies and financial controls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in Accounting
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong PC and Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Superior ability to multi-task and prioritize
