About the Role

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's financial integrity by performing accounting activities, financial analysis, and month-end close processes. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Perform detailed Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, identifying variances, trends, and key business drivers.

  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable accounting principles.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve reconciling items.

  • Monitor and analyze accruals, prepaid expenses, and other key accounting balances.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities through data analysis and reporting.

  • Prepare management reports and provide insightful recommendations based on financial performance.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audit requests.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to system and reporting enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, General Ledger, or Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.

  • Experience managing accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

  • Proven experience performing P&L reviews and variance analysis.

  • Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems and ERP environments.

  • Familiarity with shared service center operations and global finance processes.

  • The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation. Experience with Power BI is considered an advantage, enabling the creation of dashboards, data visualizations, and business insights to support decision-making.
