Role/Location Specific
Keyera’s Northern Allowance is a tiered incentive program based on years of service, currently offered to employees working at the following locations: Grande Prairie Office, Wapiti, Simonette, Gold Creek, South Cheecham, and Fox Creek Terminal. Job Type:PermanentTHE POSITION:
As a member of the Finance Team, the Accounting Analyst will support the analysis and communication of financial information to support effective decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the timely and accurate creation of monthly financial reports for the facility including operating statements, capital and expense project reporting, and various forecasting and analytical reports.
- Review and analyze financial and production information to identify cost drivers and provide information to support facility optimization.
- Complete monthly accrual and adjusting entries in the accounting system, variance analysis of actual expenditures vs. budget, and forecast updates.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual capital and operating expense budgets for the facility in conjunction with on-site management and Keyera Corporate.
- Provide ongoing day to day support for facility accounting needs including ad hoc reporting, accruals, AFE creation, inventory tracking & recording in Qbyte, reconciliations.
- Learn and support transaction processing through our various systems that include Maximo, OnBase, Qbyte.
- Assist in the development of ad-hoc and monthly reports using Power BI/Other reporting tools.
- Provide support for financial information sharing, project reviews and profitability analysis for on-site management and Keyera Corporate.
- Work with other members of the field and corporate Finance teams to resolve more complex issues for site.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce.
- Chartered Professional Accountant Designation.
- A few years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to consolidate information concisely.
- A proactive approach to problem solving with an attention to details and a focus on teamwork.
- Advanced PC skills, including data base queries, working with various reporting or query tools.
- Client and team focused, with strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel to operations facilities.
