Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with operations business partners to continue identification and implementation of process changes to prevent any discrepancies on any variances.
  • Timely and accurately reconcile monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist in the day-to-day accounting activities such as clearing the positive and negative positions in different fund accounts.
  • Incumbent may be scheduled into the nightly pricing rotation to ensure that all retail mutual fund prices are accurately ingested into DST from custodian bank secure NDM transmissions and disseminated to broker/dealers as well as to DTCC accordingly.
  • Represent operational issues when interfacing with other JHSS/JH Investment departments.
  • Serve as a resource in the following fund events: launches, liquidations, seed capital repatriations and mergers.
  • Doing the Mutual Fund Desk Accrual Reconciliation Report, UAS Accrual Reconciliation Report.
  • Monitoring and Booking Transfer-In-Kinds as per the confirmation of the Plan Implementation Manager.
  • Other responsibilities such as Tax Revision, Trade Sweeping/Clearing, AWD Fund Change Document Review and Retrieval, Plan Conversion Monitoring and Reconciliation, and Cash Management Reconciliation Set up..

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of the mutual fund funds industry
  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on a night shift schedule
  • Excellent Excel skills using advanced formula (i.e. VLOOKUP’S, PIVOT tables, Macros and Formulas)
  • Knowledge and experience using Essbase/Smartview/Dart to retrieve information from Lawson
  • Knowledge and experience working with a reconciliation tools would be an asset
  • Experience performing manual reconciliations using excel
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate a large amount of information and summarize for management creating concise executive highlights and or recommendation
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Good analytical, conceptual, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Accountability for any information released will be expected for this role
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service and relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while under pressure to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Trading and/or operational experience in investment management or financial services a plus
