Role:- 

Accounting Analyst- Full Time W2 

Location:-
New York City, NY
Salary:- 

$50,000 - $70,000 

Responsibilities:-

• Provide accounting support by preparing and posting journal entries to the Firm’s General Ledger (Sage Intacct) and Subledger (Broadridge ShadowSuite).
• Support the broader firm finance function covering external reporting, tax requests, financial planning, and related functions. 
• Review customer deposit and withdrawal requests, submitting them for approval by the Treasury Supervisor.
• Assist with daily cash balance and security position reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and maintaining relevant documentation.
• Contribute to the production of End of Day activity files, ensuring accurate reporting of cash balances and security position data.
• Adhere to monthly reporting schedules across the accounting, treasury, and operations teams.

Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required.
• Proficiency in financial reporting concepts including journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Interest and ability to understand financial transactions types including the movement of cash/investments as well as earning revenues and incurring expenses.
• Passed the FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams or willingness to pass both within 3 to 6 months of hire (company-sponsored).
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented and self-directed.
