Horse Powertrain has 19,000 dedicated and determined employees, working in 17 manufacturing plants, and 5 R&D centers on three continents.
This role is employed by Horse Powertrain Solutions and is based at headquarters office in Madrid, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will be doing
Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately and on time.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare monthly financial reports and support financial closing activities.
Coordinate and collaborate with Shared Services teams on accounting processes.
Review and oversee the monthly intercompany settlement process.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and financial legislation.
Support internal and external audit activities and provide required documentation.
Assist management with ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting-related projects.
What we’re looking for
A proven track record in accounting and financial reporting, including account reconciliations and tax compliance (VAT, withholding taxes).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Excellent skills in SAP S/4HANA (FI & MM modules) and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
Strong competencies in financial analysis and problem-solving, with a collaborative approach across Shared Services and cross-functional teams .Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written.

Skills Required
- Proven accounting and financial reporting experience, including account reconciliations and tax compliance (VAT, withholding taxes)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
