Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is part of the Transportation Finance team. Responsibilities of this role include assisting with the Fiscal Month End Close process. This includes preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Required duties also include weekly financial reporting and assisting with annual CapEx and Operational Budget preparation, ad hoc research and analysis and other duties as assigned.
Tasks require the ability to work with various levels of management within the organization and to effectively service several different internal customers (including Corp Finance & Accounting, Warehouse Accounting and Transportation Operations).
This position requires a high level of critical thinking skills to effectively research / solve issues as well as to present solutions to higher levels of management. Work activities are variable and require judgement and successful candidate must be able to prioritize tasks in order to meet required deadlines.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3 plus years of experience in a relevant area.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel . SAP experience is a plus.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
Specific Position Requirements: Good organizational and problem recognition skills, must be detail oriented, must be able to multi-task and have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
