McCain Produce and Fertilizer has an immediate opening for an Accounting & Administrative Support person to join the Produce team in Florenceville-Bristol, NB! As the successful candidate, you will provide accounting and administrative aid to the Director Finance Produce & Fertilizer and other functional departments. In this role you are an integral part of the team and central point of contact for visitors to the Produce office. The duties of this position are required to be done onsite.
What you'll do:

  • Month end and mid-month account analysis
  • Inventory reconciliations
  • AR Invoicing, maintain sales register
  • AP Coding
  • Data entry for Crop Protection Product Programs
  • Pick up and sort mail daily
  • Process petty cash sales and daily bank deposits
  • Member of Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Monitor general company email mailbox
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned


Your Skills & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration (minimum two year community college degree in Accounting or Business Administration)
  • Two - three years' experience in accounting or office administration preferred
  • Thorough, detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Understand sources of information and is able to obtain information effectively.
  • Tact and diplomacy - ensure professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors - ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks (effective time management skills)
  • Understanding and exposure to accounting software, experience with ERP systems considered an asset.
  • Strong working ability in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
