Position Summary
Records carrier invoices and prepares and sends business partners invoices related to services used.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Collects data and documents from carriers and operations to review shipments.
- Audits invoices to find and resolve any discrepancies to correct incorrect charges.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to validate carrier charges and correct loads to ensure proper workflow in systems.
- Monitors accounting and operational boards in systems to ensure timely processed invoices.
- Communicates with business partners to request proof of deliveries for billing.
- Determines the financial impact of shipments that are delayed.
- Investigates shipments that have been delivered but not billed.
- Reviews contracts to determine the scheduled delivery date and resolves outstanding orders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in business or a related field.
- 2+ years of billing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
