Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join the accounting team at Gorilla Glue. This role is responsible for supporting core accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and contributing to month-end and year-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger accounting, reconciliations within a fast-paced manufacturing or consumer products environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting operations, including but not limited to participating in full accounts payable cycle.
- Perform daily General Ledger activities,
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Analyze Accounts payable data and identify discrepancies or process improvement opportunities
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and finance
- Assist with accruals, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with:
- Accounts Payable
- General Ledger accounting
- Month-end close
- Account reconciliations
- Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Oracle Fusion experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
