The opportunity:

  • We are looking for a Business Advisory Accountant to join our Private Enterprise team in Tauranga.

Day to day you will:

  • Formulate solutions to client problems and issues and contribute to building a high-performance team culture.
  • Oversee and undertake the preparation of a wide range of financial requirements of varying complexity, including preparing annual accounts, tax returns and tax compliance.
  • Assist with data gathering and knowledge transfer.
  • Deliver quality technical compliance work and support the development of others within the team in the delivery of this work.

About you:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a New Zealand Chartered Accounting environment.
  • Hold a relevant tertiary degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • Ideally holding on to or working towards CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional body.
  • Competent and literate with the following packages:  Microsoft Word, Excel and a computerised accounting system (preferably Xero, XPA, APS or MYOB)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Professional approach to work and strong client focus.
  • A team player that values input and support from the team but can also work autonomously.

Skills Required
