Accountant

If you're a grounded, detail-oriented accountant who finds meaning in work that matters, this could be the role for you.

Openbook Solutions is a chartered accountancy firm specialising in the school and not-for-profit sectors. They're looking for an Accountant to join their small, friendly team to assist  the organisations they support to gain financial clarity and confidence.

This is a varied, hands-on role. Day to day, you'll be across monthly reporting, GST preparation, annual financial statements and Xero support. They are looking for someone with a positive attitude, who is a team player and has the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.  You'll need to be organised and accurate, comfortable working independently, and confident in managing your own workload, while staying connected to a collaborative team.

You might be a recent accounting graduate or have a little experience under your belt and be ready to grow your schools. Exposure to school accounting is a bonus, and a genuine interest in the not-for-profit and education sectors will go a long way.

This is a Monday to Friday position, with preferred hours of 9:00am–4:30pm. We're happy to negotiate 35–37 hours per week for the right candidate. Based in Palmerston North.
