Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a qualified candidate for the Accountant position in the Corporate Finance & Accounting Department. As an integral member of this dynamic office, the ideal candidate exemplifies DPR’s four core values—integrity, uniqueness, enjoyment and ever forward—and must have solid communication skills and a collaborative “can-do” attitude.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles

  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.

  • Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines and accounting policies.

  • Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations

  • Partner with operational teams to understand business activities and ensure proper accounting treatment.

  • Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed

Additional position requirements include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 1-3 years’ experience

  • CPA required

  • Intermediate/advanced excel skills

  • Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to confidentiality and handling of sensitive company information

  • Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution

  • Successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and exercising sound judgment with limited oversight

  • Challenge existing practices and proactively recommend innovative solutions that improve both accounting operations and business outcomes.

  • Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, helping transform accounting from a transaction-processing function into a strategic business partner.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and task execution.

Skills Required
