Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic and international environment? We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join our finance team in Kuala Lumpur and support accounting operations across Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Closing Support
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper supporting documentation.
Support preparation of financial reports and schedules for management review.
Assist in One Consolidation preparation and submission.
General Ledger & Transaction Processing
Maintain accurate general ledger records across multiple entities
Process bank transactions and bank reconciliations
Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure timely reconciliation
Transition to In-House Accounting
Support migration of accounting records from external to internal systems.
Assist in data validation, clean-up, and reconciliation during transition.
Work closely with the Manager to ensure completeness of transferred data and documentation.
Participate in knowledge transfer sessions from external service providers.
Audit, Tax & Compliance
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents for external auditors.
Assist in responding to audit queries and ensuring timely completion.
Support tax filing requirements including GST/VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax.
Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements across all entities.
Process Improvement & Operational Support
Support initiatives to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
Assist in automation and standardisation efforts.
Provide support for ad-hoc finance and operational tasks.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a multinational or audit environment.
Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with accounting systems such as ABSS, QuickBooks, or similar.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
