We're Hiring: Accountant (m/f)
Location: Euro Plus d.o.o., Šenčur, Slovenia (Loftware group)
Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Employment Type: Full-time with 6 months of probationary time
Working style: hybrid (3 days in the Šenčur office, with full office presence during the probation period).
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Accountant to join our international finance team. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and want to contribute to the financial success of a group of companies, this position is for you!
Key responsibilities
- Posting financial transactions to the general ledger and related subledgers
- Managing fixed asset records (entries, depreciation, inventory tracking)
- Reconciling open items and transactions between related and unrelated parties
- Performing internal controls related to received documents
- Processing incoming invoices using an OCR system and document management application (account assignment, coding, focus on cost centers/departments, ensuring accuracy of data transfers between the application and ERP system)
- Actively participating in the preparation of monthly and annual reports
- Applying expected knowledge of accounting and tax regulations (especially VAT and Corporate Income Tax)
- Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely task execution in accordance with deadlines and internal procedures
- Collaborating within an international department, managing accounting tasks for multiple companies within the group
- Adapting to fast-paced changes in systems and processes as well as adopting the international environment of the global structure
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Slovenian (both written and spoken)
- Completed Level VI education (higher vocational education) in economics, accounting, or another relevant field
- At least 2-3 years of work experience in a comparable position
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards and the basics of tax legislation
- Good Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and a responsible approach to data handling
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt in a dynamic, international work environment
