As an integral part of our finance team, the Accountant will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy and decision-making. Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10 finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in compliance with GAAP.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas of improvement and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support for special projects and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring our financial processes remain current and effective.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external auditors, facilitating smooth audit processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members, promoting continuous professional development and growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring finance teams, with a track record of developing high-performing individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to apply these principles in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques, utilizing advanced Excel skills and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial data and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues or discrepancies.
