Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance across accounting processes. This role involves working with primary documentation, participating in reporting cycles, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial workflows.

Please note - the role is based in Limassol, Cyprus. Only candidates who are already based in Cyprus will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with internal standards.
• Process and verify primary accounting documentation.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare Trial Balance reports.
• Prepare VAT returns (final review and submission handled by the Chief Accountant).
• Compile and organize documentation required for audits.
• Ensure accounting processes comply with IFRS standards.
• Contribute to the improvement and optimization of financial procedures.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of previous experience as an Accountant within an international company.
• Higher education in Accounting or Finance.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting basics.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and taxation fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and meet established deadlines.
• Proficiency in Russian language is mandatory.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (Upper-Intermediate) is required.
