The Role
We are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting and reporting processes within a fast-paced payments and electronic money environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Finance Team Lead and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of daily finance operations;
- Carry out the day-to-day accounting duties, including postings, procurement, payments and reconciliations;
- Assist with the month-end process leading to the timely submission of monthly management accounts;
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and industry best practices;
- Assist in the coordination of external audits and other reporting requirements;
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls;
- Perform any other related duties as required to support the efficient running of the department.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (University Degree, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 1 year of accounting experience;
- Previous Big 4 experience and/or experience in the EMI/payments industry will be considered an asset;
- Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central) and strong Excel skills will be considered an asset;
- A proactive team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills, eager to learn;
- Attention to detail, excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines;
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
