Clearwater is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s financial operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to process improvement. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare month over month fluctuation analysis
- Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
- CPA or progress towards CPA preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- ERP system experience (Netsuite preferred)
- Corporate expense reporting system experience a plus
- Strong data analysis, investigative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and Fintech industry experience a plus
Salary Range
$88,800.00 - $115,200.00This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
