Accountant

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

• Handling general ledger activities such as posting journals, accruals, provisions, revaluations, account reconciliations, inventory and fixed assets accounting

• Analyze and reconcile intercompany positions in AP and AR in EMEA

• Proactively follow up on intercompany mismatches with other departments

• Performing month-end closing activities according to US GAAP

• Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis

• VAT compliance, checking invoices in cooperation with SSC, supporting the preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat reporting

• Supporting the EMEA VAT manager in the VAT preparation for other EMEA nVent entities

• Preparing statistical, national bank and statutory reporting

• Supporting internal and external statutory audit

• Participating in the automation and standardization of financial processes.

• University Degree specializing in Finance/Accounting

• 3+ years in accounting across General Ledger processes

• M3 / SAP knowledge is an advantage

• VAT reporting experience

• Good accounting knowledge

• Basic understanding of AR, AP, GL and bank processes

• MS Office (advanced excel skills)

• Fluent English;

• Proactive behavior

• Ability to communicate confidently, with clarity both downwards and upwards and with stakeholders in country and internationally

• Process improvement oriented

• Excellent communication skills

• Organizational, time-management, decision-making skills

• Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
